Born in Italy, Carola Scisci moved to the United Kingdom at the age of sixteen, where she lived for more than a decade. She studied at University College London and the University of Cambridge, specialising in classical art and its modern reception. She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of St Andrews on the artistic reception of antiquity in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century Naples.
After training at Sotheby’s London and in Paris with Hubert and Ambroise Duchemin, with whom she continues to work closely, Carola has worked with leading art dealers and participated in major fairs including the Salon du Dessin and TEFAF Maastricht.
Through her online gallery, she presents a curated selection of nineteenth- and early twentieth-century works on paper and paintings, combining scholarly rigour with a discerning eye for historical significance and visual quality.
In addition to numerous acquisitions by private collectors, notable institutional sales include a drawing by František Kupka to The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
